This year the Faulkner Organization and Faulkner Volkswagen of Mechanicsburg partnered with Soldier Strong raising over $30,000 to help wounded military veterans. SoldierStrong is dedicated to helping American military veterans overcome disabilities and major injuries through therapy and rehabilitation.
Groundbreaking technologies have been developed that can help individuals who’ve sustained spinal cord injuries stand, move and walk again. However, because of the costs associated with these revolutionary breakthroughs, many of our nation’s military veterans don’t have access to them.
That’s where SoldierStrong comes in. We purchase and donate state-of-the-art technology to military veterans’ hospitals around the country, giving tens of thousands of heroes access to life-changing therapy and rehabilitation advances.
Thousands of veterans have found hope again through SoldierStrong. Join us in our mission and make a donation today. Contact us at 888.898.3235 or info@soldierstrong.org
There are an estimated 1.8 million Purple Heart recipients, combat wounded service members who have transitioned back into civilian life. They have made great sacrifices to ensure our freedoms but often go unrecognized. Wounded Warriors Family Support’s founder, Colonel John Folsom, decided to change that. Wounded Warriors Family Support offers Combat Wounded Parking Signs, free of charge, to establishments as a way of honoring and recognizing these veterans. The response has been tremendous, stretching from coast to coast. The signs have been placed in the parking lots of businesses, churches, schools and colleges, government, and medical facilities. And on June 10th, 2016 Faulkner Volkswagen joined in.

For over seven years, the Hampden Township Veterans Recognition Committee has been dedicated to the development of a Veterans Memorial within Hampden Township. The HTVRC is tasked with not only developing the plans for this memorial but also with raising the funds necessary to bring it to life and Faulkner Volkswagen is proud to be a part of these efforts by helping provide necessary funding.

Faulkner VW believes strongly in community outreach. That is why we partner with local school programs that help enrich the lives of our youth. We proudly support Thon. THON is a student-run philanthropy committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. Our mission is to provide emotional and financial support, spread awareness and ensure funding for critical research – all in pursuit of a cure.
THON’s yearlong efforts culminate with a 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon known as THON Weekend. This event is held at Penn State’s Bryce Jordan Center each year in the month of February. Last year, THON raised over $13 million and was able to donate 96% of funds raised directly to Four Diamonds.
Childhood cancers are the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. – more than asthma, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and pediatric AIDS combined. Cancer can affect anyone, regardless of ethnic group, socioeconomic class, or geographic region. Although today, up to 75% of the children with cancer can be cured, certain forms of childhood cancer have proven to be so resistant to treatment that, in spite of research, a cure is still elusive, and 2,300 children and teens will die from cancer this year. Through THON’s vast yearlong fundraising efforts and awareness promotion, we hope to one day find a cure for childhood cancer.
Since 1977, THON has raised more than $127 million benefiting Four Diamonds at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital. Four Diamonds picks up where insurance leaves off, enabling families to solely focus on care for their child.
Assistance from Four Diamonds ensures counselors, social workers, music therapists, and other specialists are available to provide comprehensive care in a family-focused atmosphere. Thanks to THON, Four Diamonds, and the Penn State Hershey Medical Center recruit world-class talent to continue innovative research benefiting children worldwide.
Each Year we partner with WINK 104 in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month by hosting an all-day event with food, prizes and all things pink.
Child Passenger Safety Week
This year we partnered with the South Central PA Highway Safety Commission to provide free car seat checks to the community. Car crashes are a leading cause of death for children 1 & 13 years of age. Many deaths and injuries can be prevented by proper use of car seats, boosters, and seat belts. Getting safety information and car seat instructions to parents and caregivers are crucial to saving young lives. To find out more info
